Courageous!
A movie that will be showing its face in theaters not to long from now, is one produced by Sherwood Pictures from Sherwood Baptist Church, also the makers of facing the Giants, and a few other great, great movies out there, is Courageous. Courageous is going to be a movie that talks about the struggles men, and even women alike face with being able to keep up with their homes, and still being able to spend time with their family, primarily their kids.
A brief synopsis of the movie: 4 men that work together as police officers in a small town, face struggles of trying to keep their town up and running properly, but at the same time realize they are missing out on alot of their children's lives, and their own spiritual lives as well. Forced to do something about this, they come up with a plan in order to get their heads back on straight with their kids, and with their maker Christ as well.
This movie, I've heard and can already tell, is going to be powerful, life changing, and all around something alot of family's in this world could use, and I urge everyone to try and go see it, as soon as it comes out in your area!
Thanks!

Silence is Golden - Pastors today do not urge or demand that the flock take a strong stand against immorality. They do not instruct the flock to write letters of objection to obscene radio and television broadcasts. Silence is Golden. Do not voice a cry for the Lord, just sit back and do nothing and let evil spread onward to its victory. The Bible proclaims we are to be lights to the world and to not remain silent do-nothing Christians. Apostate pastors care only about church attendance and the resulting tithe payments and have not concern for saving the lost or speaking out against moral corruption. The flock is taught to be muzzled and silenced. Can you believe it?

Tragedy
Ever experience tragedy before in your life??
God has ways of testing us as christians to how strong we are in him, and he has an overall plan for each of our lives, when they start, what happens in them, and when they will end, and sometimes Gods plans for someone we love or ourselves are not exactly what we wanted or expected and they make us blame him, when alot of times we forget that hes the one that gave us life to begin with.
My youth director Beth spoke Wednesday night on a tragedy that happened in her life, when she was involved in a wreck back in 2005, and the driver of the other car was killed. Although she was not the cause of the wreck or at fault in any way, Beth felt huge loads of regret, and blamed God for a while for what happened, until one day she finally came to the realization that God works in our lives according to HIS plan for us, not ours. It's up to the creator, not the creation, and like I said earlier alot of times us as humans forget that and try to make it all about us when God gave each of us the priviledge of life to begin with.
2 verses she mentioned that really helped her to realize this were Romans 8:28, and Romans 8:18. (I'll let you look those up so you get a reason to get in your bible! :)
So remember next time that you or a friend or close one, experiences tragedy, that even though you may be sad which is the good, and the best, and healthiest thing to do is be sad for that time, that even though your sad remember God had a plan for you, and that person as well before you were even a dream in your parents minds!! (:

Prostitution - A prostitute sells herself for a service, usually for money. A pastor that sells the Word of God to make a profit is prostituting the Word of God. Jesus said freely you have received, freely give. He never told the Apostles or the Disciples to sell the Word of God. Today pastors create fabulous books, tapes, TV shows and even movies to make a profit. They are selling the Word of God. This apostasy is a slap in the face of God. Pastors are not to sell the word of God, they are to teach, but not sell. Paul, Peter, John never sold the Gospel to make for money. A pastor should never be involved in merchandising the Word, not being in a special position of trust. Today, pastors are raking in millions of dollars in selling their version of the Gospel and Christians are buying it. This activity is unbiblical and robbery. Can you believe it?

Building Churches - The Bible never gives Christians instructions to build a physical church. The Bible never instructs Christians to hire or employ a pastor to take tithe money from God to build a personal fortune to increase the assets of the pastor's estate, who legally owns the church, land, buildings and ministry. Paul was a tentmaker and he never begged others to pay his bills to support him or family members and yet he performed a great evangelism for the Lord. The Apostles never gave instructions to enrich themselves by taking money from God's people via collections. Any collection was used for the good of all, not just the pastor and the pastor's family. Today, the churches are run contrary to the Bible's examples. They make their own rules and twist things around to violate the essence of the Bible. The fact a physical church is built, it is built on sand not rock and those who build it and support it will discover all too late that God never intended His people to be funneling money into church buildings and properties or investments to make money. The early church met in homes, not in controlled environments owned and operated by pastors or denominations. Can you believe it?

Easter Sunday - Of course you have heard the debates over how Easter is a pagan holiday to honor the Sun God and should not be celebrated by Christians. Here's a powerful reason why you should not. Believe it or not, the Bible does not give any inkling of any advice or instruction to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. Imagine that. If you read the Bible even the early saints never gave any instruction to celebrate. Now, if the Bible does not tell us, then why are the Christians doing it? Tradition. It sounds good and so why not do it? Don't do it because it is a Satanic holiday. You will be instructed to face the east to watch the rising sun. In the Old Testament God forbade this practice of facing the sun to watch it rise to honor the sun. So Christians are again being taught by apostate pastors to adopt ancient pagan holidays called Easter (which always falls on Sunday). The Apostles were eye-witnesses of the resurrection and there is no command by them or by Paul to observe or celebrate the day of Jesus resurrection. It was not important to them to make a special day of it. Can you believe it?

Are You Ready??
This is a sermon I heard one time at church camp, and I thought it was very powerful and that otheres would aslo like it as well!!
You all know the parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25: 1-13. It talks about how these 10 virgins are called upon to meet the bridegroom that’s coming. They were asked to bring lamps for it would be at night time. All of them did but 5 of them brought extra oil for their lamps in case they needed it. Unfortunately the bridegroom was going to be late. So everyone ran out of oil. But the 5 that brought extra oil were able to refill their lamps so that they could meet the bridegroom. The others ask for some of theirs but they refused saying there was not enough for everyone. In the end only 5 of the 10 were able to meet the bridegroom. The others weren’t ready. That’s what I want to talk to you all about tonight. Are you ready? A few years back there was a normal everyday church but this Sunday they were having a guest speaker. It was a really old man about 75 or 80 years old. He started to walk to the pulpit and was going very slow. There were two boys sitting in the front row. They saw how pitiful this man looked and even though they were in church they started to make fun of this man and laugh at him. It took the man about 3 minutes to get to the microphone. Once he got there he said I want to tell you a story about someone that wasn’t ready, and this is the story he told the church. Their once was a dad, his son, and his sons friend both kids are 12. One day the dad decided to take them both on a fishing trip. So they got ready got their poles and nets and the bait went a few miles out to sea on the dads fishing boat. The sun was out. It was a perfect day. But in the middle of the trip a storm blew in, and it got real big and eventually the boat tipped. Everyone and everything was thrown out. By this time the two boys sitting in the front row are starting to pay a little more attention. The dad though managed to get a hold on the boat. He got two life jackets, the only ones there. He put one on. There’s only one left though and his son and his son’s friend are two far apart to save both of them on time. So yeah he does what any dad would do he starts to throw it to his son. He’s about to throw it but wait. Stop, press the pause button. He starts to think about what would happen to them both if either of them died. He thinks my son goes to church, he is a Christian, he goes to youth and church activities more often than most other kids, he volunteers for church stuff, and loves God more than anything. I have no doubt that if he died right now he would go to heaven. Then he thought about his son’s friend. He thought he comes to church with us sometimes but doesn’t really like to, he is not a Christian, does really love church or God or believe in him. If he died right now I don’t think he would make it. He thinks about both of these for a second. Then he yells to his son, son I love you then throws the life jacket to his son’s friend. His son dies and he and his son’s friend live. By this time the two boys sitting in the front row have been sitting up straight and have been listening intensively. After this the preacher and the man that spoke give the invitation and both walk to the back to greet people like preachers do after church. The man that spoke was greeting people when the two boys approached him. They said sir we are sorry for being so disrespectful during your sermon and laughing at you but we have one question. Why would that dad let his son drown I mean I know that the other boy wasn’t saved or anything but why would the dad the let his own son drown I mean he was his son. Didn’t God the do the same thing the man answered. He the father gave his son for us Jesus friends so that we may be with him someday. The reason the dad saved the son’s friend is because he wasn’t ready. The man also said I also speak for myself. Do you see your preacher over there? He is the friend of the son in the story I told. I am the father in the story and boys I let my own son die almost 45 years ago so that you all would have preacher, so that their would be one less soul that would have to perish instead of live in heaven with God. But now I think he is ready. The question though I want to ask you boys is Are you ready? That’s what I now want to ask all of you all. Are you ready? Are you the son or the son’s friend? Are you one of the virgins with extra oil or not?

Everytime
This is a sermon i wrote myself when i was 16 and preached on a teen night at my church!!
Don't think I did to bad but its gotta good meanin behind it!
Every time I kneel to pray, I open up my heart to the lord. Those are the open words to my favorite church song entitled Every time which is what I will be talking to you about tonight. Let my ask the audience a question: when you pray do you just go through the motions, or do you come to your father with an open heart and PRAY to God. I find myself 99% percent of the time just going through the motions and never actually talking to my maker until something happens to me or my family that I actually need help with. That time will usually be the only time I’m actually praying to God then I return to my usual routine. In James 5:13 and 14 it says . . . . . . . . . . .
No matter what the circumstances of your day are, you should always come to the lord with an open heart. Even if your day was perfect and nothing happened thank the lord for another day of life he has given you. Just remember this: Pray often and open, its life’s first aid kit.
Every time I close my eyes, I feel the sweet embrace of my lord. God created the universe, and is almighty. God expects us and wants us to fear him and to come to him when we have troubles. 2nd Samuel in chapter 22:3 tells us that . . . . . . . If we were to trust God more often than most of us do than our problems would ALWAYS be solved. With God in our lives we will always be protected, and never have to worry whats going to next because our savior will always be there for us.
Every time I see a child, I see the gentleness of my lord. It amazes me personally that a God so big so vast so powerful is able to give us the most adorable small innocent and beautiful creation of a baby. Our God is a very loving God and we can see that through this. God tells us in Colossians 3:12 that since he choose us to be his holy people that he loves, we must follow his example as tender hearted, merciful, kind, humility, gentle, and patient people. If we were to follow this example, show it to others in our everyday lives, and pass it on to following generations our world would truly change, and not only that we would be able to bring God back as the head power of this country.
Every time I watch a storm, I know the awesome power of my lord. I know that I serve a God that is almighty, and powerful. I know he created the universe, and can see, hear, and know everything all at once. This ties back to the last verse because we know that our God is the most gentle of anything in the universe, but also the most powerful at the same time. God wants us to know this, and fear him for it because that’s how he made us to be. Psalms 2:11 tells us to Serve the lord with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling. The lord our God is our master, and we are his slaves that he loves, but he expects us to fear him and know that he is the most highest.
I don’t know why so many things seem to get in the way of seeing my God’s glory, but I try everyday to see and to thank him for all the things he’s given me. That was the chorus to this song. All that I want you take away from this part of the song is that no matter what obstacles or challenges may get in your walk with God, he is always ready to take you back as his child because he loves you, he is always ready to forgive you for anything and everything because he loves you, and he is always ready to re-light the fire in your heart and keep it from being extinguished by sin and Satan because no matter what God always always loves you.
The very last part of this amazing song says this. Every time I see the cross.
There is a very good reason to why nothing follows these words. That reason is because when you see the cross you should see Jesus dying for us when it should have been us, you should see him taking a punishment for us that he never ever deserved, but that we all did deserve and then some, you should see Jesus showing more love than any of us could ever dream of showing for anything, and lastly you should see our father giving us a free ticket to heaven when all of us know we deserve to go to hell. We can never repay what Jesus did for us, but the least we could do is devote our lives to him and live for his glory. God loves you no matter what. As(song leader)comes and leads us in this amazing song, I hope that all of you will open up your heart to our gentle, yet powerful God and know that he always has you safely embraced in his protective hand. Jesus loves us; now let’s show him the love back that we all know he deserves. If you wish to be apart of this amazing family, I hope you will make a decision now that will change your life and save your soul as (song leader) now leads us in Every time.
Feeling of Unspiritualness??
We serve a God that is yes as a matter of fact in the liberation business, and one of his first acts of liberation was the freeing of his people from Egypt. Now when God came to Moses and told Moses to go and free his people from Egypt, Moses being a very practical man said alrighty but im gonna need a name to tell them here!
To which God replied just tell them that it is "I AM" who sent you, which raises a whole nother set of questions and comments on that subject which we'll deal with some other time. The astounding thing is that this God that came to moses is a God that is outside of time and is a God of basic essence of spiritual being. The spirtual side of this is we serve A God without shape or form a God of pure spirit. But being only of spiritual essence doesnt limit our God at all, no in fact our God acts in tangible ways all the time with us as humans, and that act is to create a sense of wanting to create other things inside of us because as we can see through the creation, God is also in the creating business. A God with no shape or form decides to create us humans in Genesis 2 by breathing life into dust to make us humans. What a mystery our God is and isn't!!
Now on the other end of the spectrum there is a relm that is of pure physicallity instead of spirituallity. You start with the very basic of such all the way back from creation that is still here this present day. God separted the light and dark, God gave each the sky and water their places, God made the land and the seas, then outta the land comes trees, and the trees bear fruit, and the fruit seeds. Each part as you digress in the physical part becomes slightly more advance than the thing before it. Water and dirt you can touch and hold, a tree and light and skys you can all see, the fruit slighty more advance than the trees, and the seed even more advanced than that. Maybe this would help in visually seeing this..........frisbee....------>...ipod. there ya go.
So in genesis one there is this God that is pure spirit no shape or form being there while at the same time this physical universe is being created into existance. The seed is significant in its ability to reproduce new trees which give fruit, which give new seeds. Then higher up you have animals then God creates man, and woman, everything essentially more complex than the thing before it.
so when you take these to relms and you compare them one next to the other, one actually finds that these 2 relms of the universe: spirituality and physicality meet in the middle with the creation of mankind. On the spiritual side God breathed life into dust and made man (doesn't get anymore spiritual than that), and on the physical side, man is made and is a physical being, a physical entity in the universe just as much as a tree or a rock is.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing else in the entire universe that is 100% spiritual and 100% physical other than a human being. Everything in creation is either one or the other, trees and animals are physical but no spiritual side to them, angels and spirits are purely spiritual with no definite physicalness to them. Everything in the universe is either..or....except us humans.
So the next time you get this feeling of unspiritualness or a friend or someone says im just not into spirit things, ask yourself or them, "Well are you a human being??"
Once they or you answer yes, the reply to your feeling or their statement is simply "To late!!"
You cannot and no one cannot deny that you are of a spiritual essence as much as you are physical, no, the question is are the eyes of your heart open and do you no it or not???
Thanks!!!
