Claim your faith!

The past couple of Wednesday's at my church, my youth minister has intrigued me with a topic of consistency as a christian. The basic concept of what this means is that if you claim this faith called christianity, under the means that you follow Jesus Christ, then you don't have to be perfect, because we all know that's impossible, but you must be consistent in your actions that reflect God. This takes a load of different meanings to me, because understanding the meaning of consistency in the first place can be different in lots of eyes of people. But the meaning that would give the most effect on how we live our christian lifestyles to me is very simple.
As christians the things we do and say that reflect our beliefs and lifestyles, should stand out as different from the rest of the world. The kinds of things you see, and hear, and experience on a every day basis at school, work, etc. should bother you, and make you VERY uncomforable. At the beginning of time, as the first sin was committed in the garden, you were considered a rebel, and different if you were a sinner because before so, humans were made perfect in the eyes of God. These days, especially in the eyes of teens, and young adults, standing out, and being different, and being a rebel is what the majority is all about. They have this concept of showing everyone that they are different in what they consider a good way. What no one understands is that the kinds of things people do in order to try and be a rebel is not what being a rebel is about. As a christian especially, if you are wanting to be a true rebel with your life, then the kinds of things you do that have all kinds of sin involved should really bother you alot, and make you rethink your rebel mindset. Sinning, and things that you do that involve even the littlest sin out there isn't being a rebel any longer, because everyone, myself included does it. If you want to still be a rebel with the mindset of being different, then read your bible, or organize prayer groups, and do things to give back to your community. Being a christian that lives a lifestyle after God is the only rebellion, and difference this world has left. So once you get it implanted that you are one of those people that does want to be different, that does want to stand out, and that is a true rebel, and you live the christian rebellion of God, then living of life a christian consistency after God will become very easy for the world, and it will change the lives of many people, and be such a blessing to world, more than us christians have ever seen. Think about this. Thanks!

Fun Fact on the Bible/Christianity of the Day!

#5

Feeding Snakes - Jesus called the Pharisees snakes and vipers that will not escape hell. Today we have a worse apostate church system and Jesus is telling you to come out of this system. II Corinthians 6:14-18 tells Christians to get out of the apostate church. This is another command of God that is disobeyed by deceived Christians. They also willingly give their money to feed the snake that bites them. The Bible says if you associate with darkness you are not part of the light of truth. If you continue to feed the snakes you then support the evil apostate system. That evil counterfeit church system relies on God's tithe money to thrive and it would not exist if Christians were not feeding it money. You reap what you sow. Don't get bitten by that snake because its bite can send you straight to hell. Jesus said the snakes and vipers will go to hell. Are you supporting the apostate church? Where is your tithe money going? Beware of false prophets and teachers is a command from Jesus that Christians simply choose to ignore. Can you believe it?

Daily Bible Verse!

So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealously, and unkind speech.

Courageous!

A movie that will be showing its face in theaters not to long from now, is one produced by Sherwood Pictures from Sherwood Baptist Church, also the makers of facing the Giants, and a few other great, great movies out there, is Courageous. Courageous is going to be a movie that talks about the struggles men, and even women alike face with being able to keep up with their homes, and still being able to spend time with their family, primarily their kids.
A brief synopsis of the movie: 4 men that work together as police officers in a small town, face struggles of trying to keep their town up and running properly, but at the same time realize they are missing out on alot of their children's lives, and their own spiritual lives as well. Forced to do something about this, they come up with a plan in order to get their heads back on straight with their kids, and with their maker Christ as well.
This movie, I've heard and can already tell, is going to be powerful, life changing, and all around something alot of family's in this world could use, and I urge everyone to try and go see it, as soon as it comes out in your area!
Thanks!

Daily Bible Verse!

It was taught that these things were impossible. Yes, humanly speaking it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

Matthew 19:26

Silence is Golden - Pastors today do not urge or demand that the flock take a strong stand against immorality. They do not instruct the flock to write letters of objection to obscene radio and television broadcasts. Silence is Golden. Do not voice a cry for the Lord, just sit back and do nothing and let evil spread onward to its victory. The Bible proclaims we are to be lights to the world and to not remain silent do-nothing Christians. Apostate pastors care only about church attendance and the resulting tithe payments and have not concern for saving the lost or speaking out against moral corruption. The flock is taught to be muzzled and silenced. Can you believe it?

Tragedy

Ever experience tragedy before in your life??
God has ways of testing us as christians to how strong we are in him, and he has an overall plan for each of our lives, when they start, what happens in them, and when they will end, and sometimes Gods plans for someone we love or ourselves are not exactly what we wanted or expected and they make us blame him, when alot of times we forget that hes the one that gave us life to begin with.
My youth director Beth spoke Wednesday night on a tragedy that happened in her life, when she was involved in a wreck back in 2005, and the driver of the other car was killed. Although she was not the cause of the wreck or at fault in any way, Beth felt huge loads of regret, and blamed God for a while for what happened, until one day she finally came to the realization that God works in our lives according to HIS plan for us, not ours. It's up to the creator, not the creation, and like I said earlier alot of times us as humans forget that and try to make it all about us when God gave each of us the priviledge of life to begin with.
2 verses she mentioned that really helped her to realize this were Romans 8:28, and Romans 8:18. (I'll let you look those up so you get a reason to get in your bible! :)
So remember next time that you or a friend or close one, experiences tragedy, that even though you may be sad which is the good, and the best, and healthiest thing to do is be sad for that time, that even though your sad remember God had a plan for you, and that person as well before you were even a dream in your parents minds!! (:
